Chicago wedding photography for couples who care more about being in the moment than getting every pose “right.”
My work begins by reading the people in front of me. The energy in the room. The nervous laugh before a portrait and the way someone’s shoulders drop once they finally feel safe.
I do not walk into a wedding day with a rigid script and force every couple through the same poses you’ll find on a Pinterest inspo board.
A formal pose might be perfect for one celebration and completely wrong for another. My job is to understand the difference.
I guide when direction helps. I step back when the moment is already speaking. And if I ever have to choose between perfect composition and honest emotion, I will choose the image that feels alive.
Every. Single. Time.
FROM THE HEART
I started exploring photography years ago while looking for a creative outlet to balance a very technical job. Creativity has always been part of my life.
I grew up in art and music school, spent years experimenting with different mediums, and eventually found the one that made the most sense to me: photography.
Since then, I’ve studied the craft through master classes, private lessons, college courses, film photography, and alternative darkroom printing techniques. Photography was my serious passion for years before I officially stepped into commercial work three years ago.
But the deeper I go, the more I realize my work has never been only about the camera.
It is about human behavior: trust, energy, and the psychology of genuine connection.
A little direction. A lot of observation. & No unnecessary rules.

“We are so grateful to have a photographer who doesn’t just show up with a camera but truly invests in making the day run smoothly & beautifully.”
The Engens
Unusual wedding locations, vintage details, imperfect weather, old homes with wallpaper and family portraits, and couples who bring me an idea that starts with, “This might sound crazy, but…”
People in their element — laughing too hard, moving without overthinking, holding onto each other in a way that says more than a perfect pose ever could.
Porch side with a homemade cappuccino in hand watching the wildlife. Sometimes, it really does feel like I live in the forest countryside of IL. The calm before the chaos — kids have lunches to be made, school drop-offs, and the workday to begin.

MORNING RITUAL
I’m not here to dictate your day. I’m here to listen, advise, guide, and pay attention.
My approach is calm but flexible, organized but never rigid, & creative but still grounded in what you actually need. I’ll help with timelines, scout ideas when needed, read the energy as the day unfolds, and adjust quickly when plans shift.
